Tax Advantages
The Ali Pasha Arabians are highly prized and valued because of their extreme rarity, beauty, intelligence and atheletic ability.
According to the American Horse Counsel, there are 6.9 million horses registered in the United States. There are approximately 300,000 pure bred Arabians of all bloodlines in North America. Arabians have the highest value of any show breed and sell for the highest prices. Of all the pure bred Arabians, only about 4,000 are Straight Egyptian Arabians.
Superior show records, highly refined pedigrees and extreme rarity cause the Straight Egyptian Arabians to demand a premium in the marketplace. Based on this extreme rarity, superior athletic ability and domination in all areas of competition from the show ring to endurance riding, an investment in the Straight Egyptian Arabian is the wisest of all horse investments, especially involvement in the breeding aspect of the horse business.
The 1986 Tax Reform Act gave the horse breeding business favorable treatment. Business Week Magazine said you could be "rolling in clover" by investing in the Egyptian Arabian breeding program. All expenses incurred involving your investment are credited against ordinary income. All investments are depreciable over a 7 year period. An investment you need to think about. With proper structure and documentation, horse investments can be treated as a business, not a hobby; associated expenses and depreciation can be written off against active income from other sources. For many breeders, one-to-one tax write-offs are not uncommon. Call us today if you would like to talk about investments in horses.
Enjoy your horses and enjoy the tax advantages too! The potential of this investment is as high as you want to take it.
The formula is easy to understand and succeed with because it offers attractive tax implications and can lower your total taxable income. You don't have to have any experience with horses or have a farm to qualify. The horses (investment) are fully insurable against loss and mortality. With these benefits, it is the only investment known to be fully insurable.
Horse breeders and in particular breeders of Eqyptian Arabian Horses, come from all walks of life. Some could be considered pure investors who discover the benefits of horse investments. Others have a natural affinity for horses. They range from those who have only dreamed of owning a horse to experienced riders. Horse breeders (investors) are motivated by three aspects of ownership: (1) profit potential; (2) tax benefits; and (3) enjoyment, family fulfillment and lifestyle. Horse ownership is certainly not exclusively for the very wealthy. Purchasers of top-quality horses often have incomes of $75,000 to $100,000. They start small, usually with one horse, and build from there.
It's hard to fall in love with a stock or bond, but it's easy to fall in love with a horse.
- Tom Aronson of the American Horse Council.
Fun with your investments? You bet! Horse breeding not only adds to the bottom line in your portfolio, but it adds to your life in ways that you have yet to discover. Our personal experience showed us that we have developed an undeniable thirst for the Egyptian Arabian Horse. We want to preserve the breed that goes back to biblical times and in our quest for that end, we have learned so much. We get much personal satisfaction from just watching our horses romping in the fields, interacting with them when we feed and exercise them and just at the end of the day, when they come up to you and let you know you are loved by them. Horse breeding, and especially the Egyptian Arabian Horse breeding business is good to us in so many ways.
